Templeton added three Franklin Templeton funds to its Luxembourg Sicav including a US Government fund. Jack Lemein, manager of the US Government fund, said it was designed to combine strong capital stability with a dependable income but income at a higher level than other cash equivalent investments. It was looking to achieve this by investing largely in securities backed by the Government National Mortgage Association.
