Lipper Feri data shows the UK saw the highest sales across Europe during last year

The UK and German mutual fund industries are outgrowing the rest of Europe by a landslide, according to Lipper Feri's latest Fund Market Profile. With the UK market expected to grow 9.9% a year, assets could reach between e884bn and e1.2 trillion by 2012. According to Lipper Feri data, the UK saw the highest sales across Europe throughout 2007, with estimated net figures of e25.5bn. Although lower than in 2006, the group said this was impressive given the sub-prime crisis throughout the second half of last year.
