Investec Asset Management launched its offshore Wireless World fund, a themed portfolio investing in companies benefiting from the emergence of wireless communications. The fund held around 40 stocks in order to give investors strong exposure to the upside growth. The launch of the dollar denominated fund followed the US launch of the GF Wireless World mutual portfolio in February 2000. The UK fund was to be managed by Seth Kirham and Adrian Brass.
