Trading in shares of the Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) UK Balanced Property Trust began on 20 March 2002. A stock market announcement confirmed that a total of 150 million ordinary shares were issued and the initial gross assets, including bank debt, amount to £227.5m. The cost of the launch was 2.25% of the initial gross assets and the offer was fully subscribed.
