Lazards attracts $450m to fund manager William von meuffling's global long/short product
William van Meuffling, manager of the Lazards European Hedge fund, is now running a global long/short portfolio as well. The Lazard Worldwide Opportunities fund, which has raised $450m since last month's launch, is a long/short global equities fund that draws on the expertise of all Lazard sector analysts to create shortlists in small, mid and large-cap arenas. Like the European fund, which has been closed to new business, the focus is likely to remain in the mid-cap area for now.
