The UK fund market held up better than any others in Europe over 2008 when it came to net sales, which Lipper says will broaden the market going forward. In its review of UK fund fees, the research company says inflows totalled €9.2bn even as equity markets suffered. The strength was picked up by the bond, mixed asset and money market funds whereas in Europe, even if one asset class did well, all the others tended to fare badly.
