Invesco Perpetual has launched a US Equity Benchmark Plus fund that will use a 50-strong structured products team aiming to beat the S&P 500. The quantitative-based portfolio aims to outperform the index by 2.5% over a full market cycle of typically between three and five years. It joins the market on 9 July. The global structured products teams are based in US and Frankfurt and will use a proprietary quantitative investment model that will adopt a tracking error of 4% per annum.
