The Dow Jones has been relatively flat in early trading down only 10.43 points or 0.12% to 8408.34 points despite huge losses from General Motors. The company has shed 18.06% so far hitting just $1.18 a share, after speculation it will file for bankruptcy. Banks are also struggling in early trade with American Express down 3.19% to £25.21, JPMorgan Chase down 2.32% to $35 and Bank of America down 1.39% to $12.76.
