Skandia has added Martin Currie’s North American Alpha fund to its US Equity Blend fund, alongside four existing retail funds and bespoke mandates. North American Alpha, managed by Tom Walker, is a more concentrated 25-stock version of the Martin Currie North America fund. The vehicle makes up 15% of the £115m US Equity Blend fund. Walker is also the sole manager of the US component of Skandia’s Global Best Ideas fund. The Martin Currie vehicle is an addition to the Skandia portfolio and does not replace any other fund.
