Infrastructure investments are no longer the reserve of large institutions, with a host of opportunities broadening the scope of the asset class that has grown quickly and shown resilience to market volatility over the past two years

Until a couple of years ago, infrastructure as an asset class was relatively unheard of in the UK investment market. Access to publicly quoted infrastructure players was very limited, and companies that did have such assets often owned them within a broader portfolio of business activities. Typically, pure infrastructure investment was reserved for large institutional investors as an illiquid contribution in the diversification of their investment portfolios.
