Global warming refers to a worldwide increase in temperature, chiefly caused by human activity. Forecasts estimate that a temperature increase of between 1.4° and 5.8°C can be expected over the course of the 21st century. Almost everything on earth will be affected by this phenomenon. Humans, animals, the ecosystem and even economies will all feel the impact.
