China may look a good bet in the long term, but India appears to be offering the best growth openings over shorter time frames. At an Investment Week conference held in Shanghai last week, eight investment houses outlined opportunities for China and India, highlighting the pros and cons of investing in the regions. China is by far the better developed of the two nations, but India, with its greater transparency among companies and more developed listings, looks to be a safer bet.
