Clean Energy seen as niche, higher-risk product with strong long-term growth potential
Pictet launched its Luxembourg-domiciled Clean Energy fund in May this year, giving investors exposure to a range of industries in the renewable energy sector, from solar and wind power to hydroelectricity and biofuel. It is part of a range of thematic and sector funds the group offers, which includes Premium Brands, Clean Water, Indian, Biotech and Generics. Clean Energy currently has $550m under management and has returned 6.5% since inception.
