Hugh Young is managing director of Aberdeen Asset Management Asia, the group's regional subsidiary. He is also group head of equities, as well as a member of the executive committee responsible for the day-to-day running of the Aberdeen group. Together with head of Asian equities Peter Hames, Young co-founded Singapore-based Aberdeen Asia in 1992 after seven years with the group.
