Underweight positions in financials and overweight in resources have boosted returns of American sector's top performers over past three years
A zero weighting to financials and a play on agricultural commodities have led Neptune's US Opportunities fund to more than triple the North American sector average over the past three years. The fund tops the peer group over one, three and five years according to data from Morningstar, almost tripling the average on each occasion. Over three years to 14 January, the £16m fund produced 69.5% bid to bid compared to the 20.05% average from the 66-strong peer group.
