HSBC Open Global Return manager reduces exposure to fixed income and equities to maintain top-quartile ranking during market volatility

A recent shift in focus towards alternative assets and reduced exposure to mainstream fixed income and equities has boosted performance on the HSBC Open Global Return fund this year. The move has maintained returns during market volatility and helped the vehicle keep its top-quartile ranking since coming to market in November 2006. The £72m multi-asset fund of funds is managed by Cara MacGregor.
