Big name managers have lost ground dramatically in the Balanced Managed sector as Ruffer's European fund outstrips the competition. The vehicle, known for its aggressively high cash stance, has a three-year return double that of the next best contender, Arch Cru Balanced. CF Ruffer European has achieved 58.4% growth over three years as at 3 November, according to Morningstar.
