Baillie Gifford adds European fund co-manager amid performance challenges

Baillie Gifford has brought Christopher Howarth onto its £459m European fund, which has struggled to outperform in recent years.

Howarth joined the current fund managers Chris Davies and Stephen Paice on 1 January 2024. In 2019, Howarth joined the firm on its trainee investment manager graduate scheme and worked in the global income growth and US growth teams for his first two years, before joining the European team in 2022.
