Charles Stanley hires asset allocation and equity research heads

Charles Stanley has appointed Abbas Owainati to the newly created role of head of asset allocation and Amish Patel as head of equity research.

The hires were part of the firm's push to enhance its research capabilities. Owainati and Patel will report directly to chief investment officer Patrick Farrell.  Owainati previously worked as a macro strategist for the BT Pension Scheme Management, known as Brightwell, and as a macro strategist and economist at Quilter Investors. Patel joined from Quintet Private Bank, where he was a senior equity analyst and strategy lead for US equities. Prior to that, he was a senior equity analyst at Talisman Global Asset Management and held analyst roles at Quilter Cheviot and Janus Henderson. ...
