Look at the media at the moment and you would be forgiven for thinking we Brits have become obsessed about our place in the world, as well as nationalism and constitutional matters.
Obviously, Scotland has tended to hog the headlines, but the continuing debate about the UK, and its role in Europe, is part of an increasingly inward discussion about ‘the state of the nation’. I suspect these constitutional debates are increasingly alienating many people, especially in business and finance.
