Close Brothers poaches MD from Rathbones amid expansion plans

Close Brothers Asset Management has hired Tim Eliot-Cohen from Rathbones as managing director of its high-net-worth business, overseeing multi-asset portfolios.

Eliot-Cohen spent 16 years at Rathbones where he was responsible for the management of £550m of private funds, according to his LinkedIn. Prior to that, he spent four years as an investment manager at Fleming. In his new role, he will be responsible for the opening of an office in London later this year, the firm's ninth across the UK.
