Aberdeen makes raft of hires to strengthen global distribution; Pursglove joins in consultancy role

Aberdeen Asset Management's recently-hired global head of distribution Campbell Fleming has made a series of hires to its global distribution team, including former Artemis head of UK retail Richard Pursglove and industry veteran John Campbell, Investment Week can reveal.

Fleming (pictured) told Investment Week the hires, which also include former BNP Paribas Investment Partners/FundQuest CEO Antony John and US-based Jeff Klepacki, have been made to ensure the group has "a service proposition, sales effort and client relationships that are the very best out there" to drives its distribution across the globe. Pursglove, who joins Aberdeen today, has been hired on an interim, advisory basis to focus on the group's wholesale distribution strategy at a UK and global level.
