Former senior fund selector at Aviva Investors Bhavini (Bev) Shah has launched a support network for women in asset management, which has been backed by 15 fund groups.
The City Hive network will be launched at an event on 30 November, bringing together some of the UK's most influential women in finance in a bid to make the industry more inclusive. The launch comes at a time when research from Morningstar, published by the Financial Times, found the number of women running investment funds globally has not increased since the financial crisis despite campaigns to improve female underrepresentation in the asset management market.
