Ashmore AUM increases 4% as emerging markets recover

Ashmore has seen assets under management increase 4% to $54.6bn in the three months to 30 September 2016, as performance and sentiment recovers in emerging markets.

In a trading update for the three-month period, the emerging market specialist said AUM increased from $52.6bn to $54.6bn, and although flows were flat, it was an improvement on the net outflows seen in previous periods. The group said inflows into debt strategies were offset by outflows from equities, leading to flat overall flows.
