Update: Jupiter eyes global special sits fund for Whitmore

Jupiter Asset Management's Ben Whitmore is considering the launch of a global version of the £1.3bn UK Special Situations fund he runs, chief executive Maarten Slendebroek has confirmed.

Whitmore has run the UK Special Situations fund since November 2006 and is looking at potentially launching a global version to be run with the same investment style. The UK Special Situations fund is top quartile over five years 26 July returning 70.6%, according to FE. Whitmore also runs the group's £2bn Income fund.
