Former Electra Private Equity chairman departs board

Former chairman of Electra Private Equity Dame Kate Barker and director Francesca Barnes have resigned from the board.

Dame Barker (pictured) joined the board in 2010 and served as interim chairman following the departure of Roger Yates from November 2015 until Neil Johnson's appointment in May 2016. She was also chairman of the remuneration and nomination committee and senior independent director. Francesca Barnes joined the board in March 2013 and worked as chairman of the valuations committee. Both leave with immediate effect and Electra Private Equity said it is now seeking two independent non-executive directors, one of whom will take the role of senior independent director.
