Gross warns $10trn negative yield 'supernova' to explode

Bond guru Bill Gross has warned the $10trn "supernova" of negative yields around the world is at risk of explosion, as he also said a Brexit could introduce even more fear to markets.

In a tweet from his firm Janus Capital, which he joined from PIMCO in 2014, Gross (pictured) said global yields were the lowest they had been in 500 years. "Global yields lowest in 500 years of recorded history. $10trn of negative rate bonds. This is a supernova that will explode one day." This comes as yields in Germany and Japan have moved negative in recent months. The veteran manager also gave his view on the upcoming EU referendum, which will take place on 23 June.
