One of the pioneers of fund research and selection in the UK, Linda-Jane Coffin, known to colleagues and fund managers as LJ, has passed away.
When Fund Research was established in 1990 by Richard Timberlake and Peter Jeffreys, former Fidelity colleagues, together with Nigel Slade, LJ (pictured) was one of the first people they turned to to analyse and interrogate fund managers. Ben Bird, a former colleague at Fund Research and now a business development director of PureGroup UK, paid a fitting tribute: "Sadly LJ passed away last weekend and will be missed by many.
