Ex-F&C mid-cap manager Ulrich to join JOHCM

Former F&C UK mid-cap manager Michael Ulrich is to join JO Hambro Capital Management as part of its UK equities team.

Ulrich (pictured), who left F&C in April after almost a decade at the firm, will work as a fund manager on the £1.6bn JOHCM UK Opportunities fund. He will join the firm in August, working alongside lead fund manager John Wood, co-manager Rachel Reutter and analyst Todd King. Ulrich was manager of the £27m F&C UK Mid-Cap fund from August 2008 onwards, and also ran the £78m F&C UK Alpha fund with Tom Wilson from January 2015.
