UK mid-cap manager Ulrich quits F&C

F&C manager Michael Ulrich has quit the firm, with management of his UK equity funds passing to Tom Wilson.

Ulrich (pictured) joined F&C in November 2005 and managed the £28m F&C UK Mid-Cap fund. He is the second high profile UK equities figure to exit the group this year. Ulrich had also co-managed the group's UK Alpha fund since January, taking over from UK and European equities director Peter Lees - who subsequently left the firm. Wilson, who was deputy manager on the mid-cap portfolio and co-manager of UK Alpha alongside Wilson since January, will now take over management of both portfolios.
