Standard Life Investments has appointed James Millard to work within its MyFolio Fund Solutions team.

Millard, who was previously director of investments at Old Mutual Wealth, will be responsible for building relationships with third-party fund groups. He will report directly to SLI head of fund of funds management Bambos Hambi, who heads Myfolio.

In total, the The MyFolio team is now ten-strong.

Millard (pictured) spent fives-year as chief investment officer of Skandia Investment Group, before becoming a director of investments at Old Mutual Wealth following the move to combine the businesses.

Hambi said: "This senior appointment comes hot on the heels of the MyFolio fund range passing through the £5bn mark in assets under management. Clearly James’ appointment further boosts our ability to cope with this enormous investor demand.

"Having held a number of senior management and board level positions, I believe that his strategic contribution in helping us achieve strong returns for our clients will be significant. I welcome James to the team and very much look forward to working closely with him.”
