BNY Mellon in double Japanese equity fund launch

BNY Mellon Global Fund has launched two new Japanese equity funds for its recently-hired Japanese equities team.

The group hired the five-strong team, led by Miyuki Kashima, from ING Investment Management in April 2013. The two new funds - BNY Mellon Japan Small Cap Equity Focus and Japan All Cap Equity - will be lead managed by team members Kazuya Kurosawa and Masafumi Oshiden, respectively. The all cap fund will consist of 50 stocks, selected from a univese of 200-250, and will be benchmarked against the TOPIX index; it is a mirror version of an existing portfolio.
