SocGen's Edwards on 'once in a lifetime' equity opportunity

One of the industry's most widely followed strategists, Albert Edwards, has said depressed European equity markets are a once in a lifetime opportunity for investors following the savage sell-off in 2012.

Speaking at a conference for investors, Edwards said positive sentiment on equities is reaching new heights, mirrored by inflows into the sector from retail investors. However, risk-averse pension funds and other institutional investors have been reducing their allocation to equities and risk missing out on the “cheapest equity prices for a generation”.
