Ignis' Terry Ewing has revealed the top American brands to watch as he seeks to insulate his £90m American Growth fund from the difficult global macroeconomic environment.
Among a range of domestic themes prominently featured in the portfolio, Ewing said he is backing well-known US brands, and looking at investing in new ones, which can grow despite the turmoil by strengthening distribution channels overseas. He said: "We are very conscious the global economy is in a tough place but there are a number of key themes that will continue to work. "We are playing a domestic theme to insulate ourselves from the global macro environment.
