Investec launches LatAm small-cap fund

Investec has extended its Latin American equity range with the launch of a smaller companies fund run out of the Americas by LatAm specialist Compass Group.

The Investec GSF Latin American Smaller Companies fund, which launched on 11 June, is Luxembourg-domiciled and headed by Compass' partner and portfolio manager Carina Güerisoli. The fund has launched with $100m of third party assets under management. Investec said the portfolio offers clients a way of harnessing the domestic growth stories of Latin America. The group has outsourced the management of the fund because such a specialist market needs specific expertise.
