Premier poaches Investec manager for global team

Investec's Jacob Robbins has joined Premier Asset Management as lead manager of the Premier Global Alpha Growth fund.

He will join the global equity team on 8 November to work alongside CIO Mike Jennings, who runs the Premier Global Strategic Assets fund. At Investec Robbins had managed the Global Dynamic Equity portfolio since 2005. Previously he had worked for Insight Investment as a global industrial analyst, and was a UK equity analyst with Rothschild Asset Management. The £12m Premier Global Alpha Growth fund has returned 10.6% to investors over the three years to 14 October, compared to a 34.3% average return from the IMA Global sector, ranking it in the bottom quartile.
