PIMCO launches Global Multi-Asset fund for boss El-Erian

PIMCO has launched a Global Multi-Asset fund for chief executive Mohamed El-Erian.

El-Erian, also co-CIO at the world's biggest bond house and a well-known financial commentator, oversees investment policies and strategies for all of the company's portfolio management activities. His new fund, which launches today, will invest across a range of equities, bonds, commodities, real estate and inflation-linked bonds, aiming to deliver returns in the face of the challenging economic environment.
