Investec co-head of credit Stamos departs

Investec's co-head of credit Theo Stamos has left the firm and handed over his responsibilities to other managers.

Stamos, who has worked at Investec for the last two years, ran portfolios at the group including the recently launched Emerging Markets Corporate Debt fund. The $67m fund is now managed by Peter Eerdmans, the company's head of emerging market debt. Stamos' role as co-manager of the £217m Monthly High Income fund, meanwhile, has been taken on by John Stopford, co-head of fixed income at Investec. Kieran Roane will remain as the other co-manager of the fund, which is second quartile over three years having returned 30.1% versus an IMA £ High Yield sector average of 29.1%. Stamos j...
