AXA strengthens depleted healthcare team

AXA Investment Managers has hired a portfolio manager for its Healthcare fund to strengthen the team following a spate of departures.

The group has hired Linden Thomson to work alongside senior portfolio manager Gemma Game. Thomson's appointment follows the departure of a number of key personnel in the team, including former lead manager Deane Donnigan, who announced she was leaving earlier this year. Donnigan officially ends her tenure at the end of this month. Mark Beveridge, global head of AXA Framlington, said Thomson's appointment showed the group's commitment to the sector.
