SLI launches bond version of GARS fund

Standard Life Investments has launched a fixed income version of its £7.3bn Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) fund, managed by the same team.

The Absolute Return Global Bond Strategies fund invests in global fixed income markets and aims to target a return of 2.5% over a rolling three-year period. Euan Munro, head of global fixed income and lead manager of the £7.3bn GARS fund, will run the vehicle. Munro will aim to seek returns through a dynamic approach to investing in fixed income, tapping into traditional assets such as government bonds, while also being exposed to advanced asset strategies, including interest rate, inflation, volatility and foreign exchange strategies. The UCITS III fund is domiciled in Luxembourg.
