HSBC unveils two EMD funds

HSBC Global Asset Management has launched two emerging market debt funds for its latest hire Guillermo Osses, head of GEM portfolio management.

The HSBC GIF Emerging Markets Investment Grade Bond fund invests in emerging market sovereign and corporate securities that are investment grade at the time of purchase. The fund has a benchmark comprising 50% J.P. Morgan GBI-Emerging Markets Global Diversified Investment Grade index and 50% J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Investment Grade index. The HSBC GIF Global Emerging Markets Corporate Debt fund invests in both investment grade and sub-investment grade company debt.
