Charles Martyn-Hemphill and Will Kenney at Spencer House Capital Management (SHCM) are set to join JO Hambro Investment Management (JOHIM) in February.
SHCM is the investment manager of its Spencer House Capital Management fund, a Ucits umbrella company listed on the Irish Stock Exchange, with a global equity sub-fund.
The managers will continue to run the SHCM fund in their news roles at JOHIM, on the same terms and conditions. However, the change has caused certain amendments to fund documentation, including a name change to JOHIM Global Investment funds.
As a result of joining JOHIM, Martyn-Hemphill and Kenny will continue to manage the fund and sub-fund, and any other global equity segregated mandates for private and pooled investment clients.
Martyn-Hemphill joined SHCM as a founding partner in 2006. Prior to this, he spent 26 years at Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Asset Management, most recently as managing director and head of the global select equity team.
He managed global and US equity mandates at Deutsche, including the DWS American Growth trust, which he ran from its inception in 1990.
Kenney also joined SHCM as a founding partner in 2006, to manage global equity assets alongside Martyn-Hemphill. The duo worked together at Deutsche Asset Management for six years, where Kenney managed global equities.
