Barclays Capital launches second retail bond on LSE

Barclays Capital has launched its second retail bond on the London Stock Exchange, offering investors a 4.5% fixed rate.

The ISA and SIPP eligible 10-year bond, available in denominations of £1,000, offers secondary market liquidity. It is BarCap’s second retail bond, following the launch of its RPI inflation-linked offering in September, which raised about £25m.  With no lock-in restrictions or early redemption penalties, the bond is backed by the credit standing of Barclays Bank PLC.
