Resolution Asset Management is to re-brand as Ignis in November as it merges with Axial Investment Management to create a £75bn business. The groups said there will be little change to the underlying business and Resolution’s joint venture boutiques will not be adopting the new name. Specialist fund provider Axial will initially retain its own identity at launch but both entities will work together to develop products. Sales and marketing will be dealt with by a single Ignis team. Gavin Stewart will continue as chief executive of Ignis.
