Fidelity's Sam Morse faced a baptism of fire after taking the reins of the European Values trust at the start of 2011. Europe was already deeply out of favour with investors and worse was to come as the eurozone debt crisis unfolded, calling into question the very future of the currency bloc. However, five years later the situation has turned around.
