Many market participants have recently turned bearish on credit markets, following five years of strong, largely uninterrupted gains for the asset class. While many areas of the market have been exhausted, pockets of value remain across the credit spectrum, and many fund managers are positioning their portfolios to capture these opportunities. One area of particular focus for fund managers is in secured bonds, otherwise known as collateralised ABS.
