Sitting within the eclectic range of funds that make up the IMA’s Specialist sector, SWIP’s UK Flexible Strategy’s impressive returns are starting to capture the attention of investors, despite its relatively small size of £9m. First launched in May 2006, ex-university professor James Clunie took over the fund just over two years ago from Robert Waugh, SWIP’s former head of UK equities, after a bout of extremely poor performance.
