European ETF inflows more than double to €6.6bn in September

Sales of ETFs listed in Europe more than doubled in September compared to the previous month, hitting €6.6bn, with equity products being "investors' darlings" of the month, according to Thomson Reuters Lipper.

ETF inflows in September were significantly higher than the €3.1bn of net sales in August, but remained below the 12-month average of €6.7bn, according to Lipper's latest European ETF Market report. Equity ETF inflows amounted to €5.9bn, making up the bulk of sales, with eurozone equities taking in the highest amount of €1.3bn, closely followed by equity emerging markets global with €1bn of net sales, and equity sector financials, taking in €900m.  For the financials sector, this was the second month in a row when it appeared in the list of the three best-selling Lipper classification...
