Ex-Bedlam fund manager Smith launches global income fund

Felicity Smith, formerly a manager at Bedlam Asset Management, is launching a global equity income fund for her company, Hempshill Hall Asset Management.

Smith (pictured) was at Bedlam AM from 2007 until 2013, when the firm closed following the departure of its chief investment officer Ian McCallum for Fullerton Fund Management in Singapore. She managed the group's Global Income fund, which she helped restructure after assets had fallen by 74% before she arrived at the firm. The AUM of the strategy more than tripled since then, but remained small at around £20m at the time of closure.
