Schroders is planning to launch a commodity investment trust in June for David Mooney of Schroders NewFinance Capital.
The Schroder Opus Commodity fund will be domiciled in Guernsey and aim to offer investors access to commodities markets through a broad range of strategies through specialist active managers, alongside a proprietary commodities futures portfolio. It will aim to outperform the DJ-UBS Commodity Total Return index by 6%-9% per annum net of fees over a cycle. The AMC is 60 basis points with a performance fee of 10% on outperformance above the benchmark, with a high water mark.
